Canon EOS 100D EF-S18-55mm Digital SLR Camera

The EOS 100D is a top level performance DSLR for casual photographers, with the smallest and lightest body among its competitions when paired with the new EF-S18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 IS STM lens. The advanced Hybrid CMOS AF II achieves high-speed, comfortable AF during Live View and Movie Shooting. It also comes with Capacitive Touch Screen LCD that enables Touch AF and touch shutter release.

Smallest and lightest in its class
EOS 100D, through miniaturization and optimization processes, is the world's smallest and lightest dSLR among EOS digital SLR camera. This highly portable dSLR camera measures in at a mere 116.8mm x 90.7mm x69.4mm and weighing in at only 370g,yet retains the full capabilities expected of an EOS camera.

Hybrid CMOS AF II
This system uses phase detection AF to quickly zero in on subjects much more rapidly than the conventional AF method of contrast detection when shooting in Live View mode. Hybrid CMOS AF II phase detection area of approximately 80% of the focusing frame allows users to quickly track and maintain focus on subjects even if they are not in the center of the frame, for very rapid point-and-shoot performance.

Advanced image creation function
Shooting modes have been enhanced and new shooting modes added allowing users to take beautiful pictures easily and quickly

Special Scene (SCN) shooting mode added
Additional new modes: Kids, Food, Candlelight

Extra Effect shot (in Creative Auto (CA) mode)
2 shots are taken simultaneously when users use image creation filters, 1 shot is with filter/s applied, the other, without the filter/s applied. The extra shot serves as a backup or can be used as a template to apply image creation filters at a later time

Miniature effect movie
Users can also set "fast-forward" (5x, 10x and 20x faster) to give the appearance of miniature models moving quickly. In this mode, no audio is recorded.
