From underwater shots to night landscapes or dimly-lit environments, the wide-angle f/2.8 NIKKOR lens captures the ideal amount of light for a great picture. With a 5x optical zoom (covering 24mm to 120mm equivalent in 35mm format), and a Dynamic Fine Zoom* (approximately 240mm equivalent in 35mm format), it gives you the flexibility to capture faraway objects. The macro shooting mode also allows you to go as close as 1cm to get vivid colours and crisp details in your shots.

The 16 megapixel lens, superb image-processing engine EXPEED C2, and backside illumination CMOS sensor all combine to give you bright, stunning and blur-free images. The target finding autofocus (AF) automatically hones in on the subject, while the Pre AF achieves focus even without pressing the shutter-release button halfway. The Pre-AF also activates immediately when a shake is detected, which means you just have to focus on what you want to shoot while the Nikon AW120 takes care of the rest.

The Nikon AW120 comes with built-in GPS, an electronic compass and a world map so you can lose yourself in what you’re doing without losing your way. The GPS also lets you log in the altitude/water depth and keep track of it at regular intervals.
The built-in Wi-Fi® allows sharing moments instantly with your loved ones. Using the Wireless Mobile Utility App (available for download at the App Store and Google Play), you can turn your smart phone to a remote shooting device, so you can be in the picture, with the vastness of nature as the perfect backdrop.

Document your travels with Full HD videos. The high-performance Vibration Reduction (VR) function uses lens-shift VR and Electronic VR for shake-free and blur-free shooting. The Record Pause feature of the Nikon AW120 lets you omit any action you don’t need in your movies just by pressing the pause button, and resume recording later with the same movie file. And with the playback editing function, you can snip out any unwanted scene directly on your camera.
