The new Plustek Opticard 821, a palm-size mobile A6 scanner, is packed with more advanced functions compared to its predecessor model opticard 820. Aside from scanning photo documents and business cards, it also scans all types of checks, as well as plastic embossed cards such as insurance cards, membership cards, social security cards and credit cards.

Business Card Management
The new OptiCard 821 is bundled with the BCR (Business Card Reader) which provides automatic recognition of company name, job title, person's name, address, telephone and fax number as shown on the pre-scanned business cards. Users then have the flexibility of saving the files to Excel or sending the files to Outlook for further categorization.
Image processing
The OptiCard 821 is able to process multi-image such as the conversion of photographs to digital image in terms of providing users the options to save, edit, print or recover the integrity of the original images. The combination of OptiCard 821 and image-processing software generates all-around and sophisticated functions of image editing, categorizing and searching.
