Universal Send with Color Scan in "i" series

Universal Send is a cluster of tightly integrated functions in the "i" series that enable users to scan color hard-copy originals, convert them into digital documents, and push them to multiple destinations in a single operation. Scanned pages may be distributed as Fax, E-mails or I-faxes via the Internet, or sent to file servers or document management systems using the company's existing Local Area Network (LAN) infrastructure.

Universal Send is ideal for all vertical industries that share information among workgroup members, communicate with other employees and partners outside the immediate area, store documents and forms for print on-demand applications, as well as a tool for companies to route documents to file servers and document management systems.

Space Saving for Small Offices

ImageRUNNER 2018N/2018i offers an optional, Inner 2 Way Tray for setting different output type to different tray for faster distribution. It's another internally finishing unit for small office environments which preserves the original footprint of the main unit. This makes the imageRUNNER ideally suited for environments within limited space but still require the highest standard of finishing features.

A New Level of Printing Functionality

The imageRUNNER 2018N/ 2018i is ideally suited to handle the printing requirements of work-groups and departments, with Canon invented UFR II LT, a print controller offer a standard Ethernet interface for instant network connection upon installation to enable remote device management. UFR II LT technology leverages the processing power found on today's powerful PCs to share the data processing load between the connected PC and the controller, speeding printing performance.

Optional Automatic Duplexing

The new imageRUNNER 2018N/2018i features optional trayless duplexing with an all-new integrated duplexing unit. There are no protrusions when closed, allowing the system to fit into tight spaces. Opening the left side door exposes the entire duplex unit for easy jam clearance.

Rapid Fusing SystemTM

The imageRUNNER 2018N/2018i uses little power and virtually eliminates the long warm-up periods associated with conventional solutions. For example, electric consumption is reduced to about one-forth of power consumed by machines using traditional thermal roller technology; warm-up times are decreased to 26 seconds from standby mode for "i" models and 14 seconds for "N", and the first-copy-out-time is improved to 6.9 seconds from the platen glass.

Remote UI

The Remote UI function turns any web browser into an imageRUNNER 2018N/2018i desktop command and control centre. Simply enter the IP address of the remote device to get instant access to job status, address book, media options, program settings.

Effective Monitoring tools

Device can be protected from unauthorized access by setting Department ID and passwords. By registering a Department ID and password for each department, you can manage the device by limiting its use to only those who enter the correct ID and password. Up to 1,000 ID can be registered for better management.

The imageRUNNER 2018N/2018i series is certified with Ipv6 ready logo phase-1, as established by the Ipv6 forum. Ipv6 (Internet Protocol Version 6) is the next generation protocol designed by the IETF to replace the current Internal Protocol version 4. It also supports the printer languages PCL5e and PCL6 which enables it to work with a wide variety of software applications that support PCL.
